HOPE-Pakistan was established in 1998, by a group of highly motivated social activists who started to work in the Afghan refugees in close coordination with UNHCR Balochistan. In 1998 its work was extended to the host communities, through socail mobalization for collective action and advocacy. The founder of HOPE played key role in mobalizing Balochistan Gender Network the same year.

HOPE's vision is of a society where people live in peace, prosperity, freedom and healthy environment that is respectful to human rights and free of discrimination. HOPE is based on the close link among gender equality, poverty eradication, good governance and environmental  justice.   

HOPE focuses on humanitarian and development through its priority sectors, including Livlihood Security, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change , Eender Equality & Human Rights , Good Governance and Education. Our cross cutting themes are capacity building, advocacy, soacil protection and environmental health.

HOPE works through mobilizing local community groups, with special focus on women and contribute to their capacity building. HOPE has recently launched network on climate change Adaptation in Balochistan. As part of our humanitarian work HOPE responded to the mobilization of resources for earthquake 2005 and earthquack 2008 in Ziarat.

At international level HOPE is member of AWID, Feminist Task Force (FTF), GDN, active mobilizer of GCAP anti poverty campaigns since 2006 and contributer to the IFPRI food security portal, with special focus on food security situation in balochistan and NWFP. HOPE is active on women right and cklimate change justice advocacy. We have conducting  community tribunal on " Climate justice and poverty" in Balochistan in November 2009.
